Thinking about it but sensibly would be best to wait till summer 2012 will see what Hatties breeder has then. May think of small Labradoodle just for the heck of it!!But will not go to breeder who spayes/neuters before puppies sold.
Will probably go back to Pollycinders as very happy with Hattie. Need someone to talk sense to me, always said would not have puppy 2 but hey you only go this way once!

Haha two puppies is brilliant though ;) Twice the trouble but twice the fun as well :D
Good luck in making a decision!
We will see Hattie has settled so well I would just like her to have a friend but I remember a dog handler friend of mine warning against two dogs. Will see what the next few months bring but I guess I know what the outcome will be! Anyone want to babysit two poos?

I did have two Jack Russells because one would have been left alone and it worked out ok so we shall see but I think poo 2 is a foregone conclusion! Funny how you forget the 8 muddy paws the double insurance costs the double hotel fees. As I said you only pass this way once if it will be it will be watch this space!

Why would they advise against two dogs? As in to only have one at all times?
We knew we wanted a second because we wanted Izzie to have a dog to play with seen as where we live on walks it was very common to never come into contact with other dogs & half the time when we did they would be on lead not allowed to play.
So we had t get a second :D

It was that 'you' would be the dogs companion. This was a police dog handler, very experienced whose advice I respected however I took on my two jack russells and had 15 years of fun and companionship. I nearly took one of Hatties litter mates but all the sites I visited kept on about keeing them seperate and treating them as two seperate dogs, just seemed too much work. Hoping Hattie will be a good role model for poo 2 be it cocker or Labradoodle. I just have a wish to see how a Labradoodle is different but I will not go down the desexing of puppies route.

Go for it!!!! Dogs are not solitary animals and enjoy the company of human and canine family, you will be fine. Siblings can be very hard work but this isn't your case, Hattie is older and they would be great company for each other. I know people that have 4, 5+ dogs living happily. So long as you are the one in charge there should be no problems :D

Like the bit about the one in charge! I think it is me but if course I know it is really Hattie and my horse Ty. But I live in hope. My mother always used to say I was ruled by my animals, better than being ruled by another human!
