Biscuit does this sometimes when a dog approaches. He also does it to other things like a strange noise in the garden, etc. I have up until now seen this as a normal thing for him to do when he is a little unsure of something rather than aggression. It is a very low growl. He did it the other day when I lifted him to see some horses. However, as soon as I say 'it's ok!' he stops. I hope this is normal. We are going to do training classes after Xmas.
