So, two weeks until my gorgeous boy comes home and I think I am ready, very nervous but ready. Read the books and everything I can on the internet and have been avidly following everyone's posts on ILMC about their experiences with their dogs. Bought far too many puppy things etc...

What has been funny is motivating the OH. He definitely wants to get Chester but he is one of those visual people who doesn't really get excited or deeply involved in things until they are happening or he can see them. I bought the Gwen Bailey book in January and found it really useful and have spent probably 6 weeks asking him to read it. He finally started reading it yesterday (hurrah). All he has to do is finish it in two weeks - this may be a problem

Hubby thinks I am obsessed - I think he may be right  What will I be like when Chester comes home??

Chester is so cute. Love his colouring/markings! I agree with Ali - I don't think I could've got my OH Tom to read a puppy book, so a thumbs up for getting him to even start it. We are all cockapoo mad so just unleash your excited behaviour on us in the meantime! OH will not be able to contain his love or excitement once little chester arrives and wraps him round his little paw! :) xx

Don't worry we are all cockapoo obsessed on here :D

I mean I have even put a website together for them!!! so spend hours a day either on that and our clubs FB page, cockapoo forums and then talking about them to hubby etc.......

Sure your hubby will be equally obsessed once Chester is home :)

It's nice to know everyone has the same problems and experiences! It's been 14 years since my beautiful GSD died and I haven't had another dog since. The puppy stage is making me nervous but we'll muddle through I'm sure and as everyone says, it doesnt last forever. I'm so excited about having a dog again. Really can't wait!!
