Okay, we've decided on the barf diet, bought the crate, now the next decision to be made is puppy school or not puppy school. We have researched local training schools (Cardiff South Wales) and found Rockfield on Caerphilly Mountain. Has anyone heard of it? We are thinking that a puppy school is a good idea not least for socialisation but would apreciate any useful advice as always!

defonetly training classes atleast for sotolisation, but just watch that its not the no touch puppy school. we have a franchise that is called puppy school, and they say you shoulnt touch your puppy at all. very stupid.

but yes puppy training is a must, it gets them used to being around dogs and people they dont know in a confined space.

Id go for it Wendy and Im sure even though taking it seriously its an arena to practise. no one expects perfection, dont expect too much or get stressed, enjoy it for what it is and then put the work in at home. Like Amanda says they're teaching you really ;)

We have a trainer coming to the house today to help train me so I make sure Holly is a well trained as my husband is not sold on the whole puppy thing. She has recommended a puppy school too and I have a place booked for socialisation and reinforce my training.

Puppy school is a wonderful experience both for the puppy and yourself. To see the puppy's play and interact with other owners is great fun, you learn the basics for their training, also lost of fun homework between classes.

Unfortunately the classes Poppy used to goto clash with our Flyball commitments, so I'm having to look for a different trainer. Rosie will be well socialized by going with us but I want her to get some socializing with puppy's her own age.

Don't get upset if your puppy keeps going to one of the other owners its just because they have more interesting treats. Go and have fun.
