Runny nose

Hi all, Pixie has a runny wet nose,and i have noticed her sneezing a few times,she is eating and drinking well,should i be concerned

Lady had this for like a day or two and it quickly went away...be concerned if her attitude, energy or eating habbits change....with Lady she actually had a piece of tinsel up her nose from the chirstmas tree. once removed she had a day of I guess irritated nose.....I would grab a flash light and just check to see if there is anything up there.

Ive had a quick look online Becky and it seems if it is coloured then may be cause for concern,it just says keep close eye on it and try and wipe it to see if its thick and coloured.
She must be going for her jabs soon so just mention to vet.

Oh on another note try giving her a raw carrot to chew on Buddy loves it!!!

and yes im doing the carrot thing soon when she wakes up,she sleeps alot,does Buddy?

Just keep an eye on the runny nose but it's always a good idea to check her temperature. This can either be done rectally with a traditional thermometer or in the ear of you have a human ear thermometer.

1. Body Temperature
Canine "normal" body temperature range is 100.5 - 102.5 Fahrenheit (38 - 39.2 Celsius).

A body temperature below 100 or above 103F warrants a call to your veterinarian. Body temperature in dogs is most often measured rectally, ear thermometers can also be used, but it can be difficult to get an accurate reading. Gauging body temperature by the moistness of the nose or how warm the ears feel is not reliable.

Yea he does (thank god!) we have abit of a routine now he wakes at 6.30 (well i get him out then) goes out to do his thing,then we play in lounge for a bit then i feed him at 7.30ish then he may have a nap then were outside again and we have a run around playing with balls and frizbe etc then come in try to carm him down ! Then he has another longer nap.

And so it goes on wake ,outside,play,nap.

I have two neglected kids at the moment !

Forgot to say Becky remember to check Pixie's ears i gave Buddy's a good clean today they were quite bad,Julia told me to use water and cottonwool balls apart from trying to bite me as usual he was fine about it dx

she seems fine in herself and her nose seems ok today so fingers crossed,its like having a newborn again,worry worry worry...! Thanks girls,i love this site

Well after reading this thread Buddy started sneezing too ! and he dosnt seem as energetic and he's gone back to sleep,I think its coz of the weather its just far too hot ,im gonna join him .

Phew, that just sounds like our life at the moment, it's exhausting lol
