We picked Keltie up this morning. She is asbolutely gorgeous and has had so much fun in the garden today. I think she definitely prefers being outside. We drove her from Anzils in Liverpool to the Midlands and we were held up on the M6 for quite a while - but she was brilliant, although she did try to eat my hair and my t-shirt en route! The children and hubby have fallen in love with her. Shes done all her poos outside - result, and had a couple of wee accidents but to be fair she did whine first and we were eating and didn't respond quickly enough. I'm dreading tonight but have told the children no going downstairs to her if she whines, hope I can resist!

Could I just check, she will be sleeping in a crate, do I leave her water bowl in there overnight or not?

Also she's on Science Plan food and has eaten well today, but we appear to have a bit of a windy puppy - would this be because she's had a stressful day and her tummy might be a little upset? She has been eating a bit of grass and the playing with leaves in the garden.

Have tried to post picture but file size too big - need a child to show me what to do!! Will get one on here asap.

Thats brilliant that keltie is home at last with you.My guess would be that she is just a little stressed with the change and journey etc but if you do decide to change her food do it very gradually otherwise she ill get an upset tummy.Cant wait to see pics:)

Aww, good luck tonight, can't wait to see photos!

I never left the water bowl in the crate overnight, I just let them drink until they went to bed and then lifted the bowl out.

Hope you all manage to get some sleep! :)

Oh wow what an exciting day you've had! And it sounds to me like you've had a great first day with Keltie! Must make toilet training so much easier when it's sunny outside and you can spend the day in the garden. I really really hope she sleeps well tonight for you all. I would put the water in her crate, but I am no where near an expert so someone who is and has experience will reply I'm sure. Good luck and looking forward to those photos!

So glad you have her home :D

I do leave water in Holly's crate just a very small amount as some puppies wake their owners for a drink. Shes been in bed now for over 30mins and I won't hear from her until 7'ish in the morning.

Good luck tonight
