I wonder if anyone could shed any light to my issue.

Rufus has been toilet trained for months, he is nearly 7 months old now. Over the last two days he tried to wee in our spare bedroom, I caught him just in time then yesterday he weed on our sofa! Both times the back door has been open and he had only just been out so its not a case of him not being able to get out or he's been left alone.

Do you think he is going through his teenage stage?

Has he been neutered??
Sometimes male dogs will try and 'mark their territory' and I've been told it happens more if the dog hasn't been done.
Having said that Ted has not been done - but so far (fingers crossed) he been OK.

Good thinking, no he hasn't had The Chop!! It just seems very strange behaviour. Hopefully Ted won't start !

Hi Anna Is he cocking his leg when he wees? If so, then I would imagine it is marking behaviour. Biscuit is still intact and did this a few times times during his 8th month - once upstairs next to my son's blazer(!) - and in the garage but after a few firm 'no'! seems to have stopped now. x

Hoping it stops as we've just ordered new sofas!!!! I really shouted at him yesterday and he hid under the dining table
