Hi everyone

Why does time so sloooowwwww ... when you are waiting for the newest member of the family to arrive , We are on JD'S spring/summer waiting list , seems like an age away ... how long have you guys waited for your pups? I do know it will be worth it in the end :)

Ah Julie. Think of the positives... Having a Spring/Summer pup means not freezing in the middle of night when pup needs a wee :) Hopefully it will go quite quickly for you. I was researching and looking for the right pup from January and came across Nacho in July although I wasn't on a waiting list. We went to visit the litter and he was the one who chose us, so it was literally a matter of hours before I rang the breeder up and said I wanted him. It was then just a week to wait once I knew I had found him (a nice trip to Portugal in between helped break that longest week of my life up) - knowing and seeing your pup and then not being able to take them home straight away is the hardest thing. You wait til you see your chosen pup, that week or two will be longer than your wait now. All you'll be able to imagine is that cute teddy bear face! - Sorry I should be helping here :) It really is true though - all that waiting will be soooo worth it in the end!

Hi Julie

I feel your pain!

We've been researching Cockapoos since May/June and probably won't bring one home until Feb/Mar.

SO impatient!

HOWEVER, we heard from one of our hobby breeders yesterday (the one in Hertfordshire). Their chocolate bitch was mated to an apricot Miniature Poodle on Friday. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed!!!

Me and my boyfriend knew we wanted a dog for about 2 years before we got Vincent, although it's only been recently when we could actually have the money/resorces for one.

About a year ago we saw an advert for chocolate cocker spaniel pups loved them but really couldn't justify having one (we both worked full time and I have allergies). Then after some more research we KNEW a cockapoo was for us :D

so we'd researched a lot but not really on breeders, suddenly found one with Vincent who was available right away...saw him on the Saturday, took him home on the Monday!!

Hi Julie

Not to worry.

Yes, we've decided on a Cockapoo. We (well, I) veered towards a Cavapoo for a bit but then did full circle!

We're in contact with three hobby breeders who have working cockers bitches they occasionally mate - keeping my fingers crossed!

Well i'm now 18 & have been waiting for my parents to le tme have a dog since I was about 8? Maybe earlier, who knows, I always got the same answer :(
Until my mum got ehr early retirement & was going to be home all day! Then dogs were on the cards ;) Once we'd decided on a cockapoo, I don't think it took us long to find our breeder & didn't have to wait too long after that, maybe 1 month-7 weeks? Izzie was already born at the time I think so wasn't more than 7 weeks. We've had her almost a year now & are getting our second one this week :D Have been looking for the right pup (second time round) since about July/August, so not too long again :)
You do have quite a while to wait :/ But i'm sure it will go quickly! :D

Hi Julie,
I'm on the same waiting list as you with JD's. Spring/Summer seems like ages away for us too! We were added to their waiting list early September and simply can't wait. The knowledge that it'll be worth the wait isn't really helping the impatience is it?! I've been passing the time on this forum, and by creating a shopping wish list of puppy items that we're going to 'need'!
Julie x :D
