Well that was a fun start to the day.....not!

This morning before the school run I had to pop out to my bin (which had moved to the front of the house for bin day). I waved to one of my parents as they pulled up with their little boy they were dropping off at my house. When I got back to the front door I realised one of the children had let Daisy out!

She was there on the drive...'Daisy come' I said in my sweetest, not worried at all voice! Well she turned her head to look at me and and ran in the opposite direction! If I had been out I would have walked away from her calling but as I was home and we live on an estate I could only think to follow her which then made her run further away towards the main road through my estate! She had no intention of coming back at all! Thankfully one of my friends cat darted across the road which meant Daisy gave chase and I could corner her down the side of their house!

I picked her up, carried her back to be greeted by the parent on my doorstep who said 'I didn't think you were going to catch her!' No.... neither did I!

Whilst all this is going on I have the kids in the house, hubby in bed and I was thinking I would have to go back and send him out to get Daisy whilst I took the children to school! I was shaking by the time I got back and to top it all she is in season which is probably why she went walkies in the first place! Off to look for a bit of fun!!! ;)

All children safely delivered, dog safe (and slightly miffed!) and I have my cup of tea and a biscuit! :D

Wine later ;) It was really scary because she was heading to the main road and I was starting to panic (normally I am quite laid back believe it or not!). Ever since she has come in to season her recall has vanished! :( Talk about roaming! I even went to visit my friend today who has a younger puppy to get my longline back that I had let her borrow!

They do like to keep us on our toes don't they!

Apart from her little escapade she is fab at the moment, its taken a while but even a bad sleep over at my Mum's didn't upset her sleeping pattern at home. My Mum was a bit worse for wear though and said she didn't know I coped with her SA for so long! :)

Izzie did that to me last night (Halloween) although she isn't in season, but ran to the top of the garden on to the path watching the trick or treaters walking away from the house! Then as I tried to pick her up she ran back into the garden & kept running away from me! Didn't think i'd get her back in haha, glad you did & no damage was done! ;) x
