Mollie will be with us next Saturday. For the first week one of us will be with her all day and night; but the following week reality returns and we go back to work.
At the moment I only work Wed, Thurs and Fri and my hubsband works shifts, so we are more often than not OK with regards to Mollie being looked after.
However some days she will be home alone.
We are orgainsing for people to come and play with her/feed/toliet her in the day (these will be people she has already met such as grandparents and close friends) so far we are thinking about this as a plan.
Leave for work/school 8.30am
Mollie home alone 8.30am - 10.30am
First visitor; play, toilet and food 10.30 - 11.30-11.45am
Mollie home alone 11.30-11.45 - 1.30pm
Second visitor; play, toilet and food 1.30 - 2.30pm
Mollie home alone 2.30pm - 4.00pm
Jessica home from school 4.00pm
That should mean she is not alone for more than 2 hours at any one time.
We plan to run with this for the next six weeks - then I am off with her over the six week holidays so no problem there.
In September when I am back at work we'll probably continue with the plan roughly as it is, but slowly extending the times she is left alone as she gorws older.
Does that sound OK?
