Hi all.
I have been reading and looking for advise on buying our first family dog and we feel a cockapoo is the one we want.
I have done lots of research and it would be great if anyone would be able to put me in touch with a breeder close to the Plymouth area who has some puppys available or near as.
A recommened breeder would be ideal as there are so many and I would like to get it right.

Thank you Tina

My best advice would be to look at breeders online and see if there are any breeders in your area (sadly that's not always the case and alot of people have to travel further afield, but i can honestly say they are very much worth it)

p.s it also depends on what cross you prefer...english/american toy/minature

Good luck with your search x

Hi Tina.

Great choice of dog! :)

As already suggested have a look at www.breedersonline.co.uk but do be prepared to travel for the right breeder.

Do have a look on the Cockapoo Owners Club website, we have lots of information on choosing a breeder, questions to ask and also health tests that are reccomended.

Good luck with your search and make sure you keep us updated! :D

There are 3 types of cocker - english show/working/american and 3 types of poodle - toy/miniature/standard
An F1 is a mating between any type of cocker x any type of poodle. The mother/father can be either way round, although it is not usual to use a standard poodle stud with a cocker bitch due to size difference. Most breeders use toy or miniature poodles, it is more common for the mother to be the cocker.
F2 is a mating of 2 F1 cockapoos, whatever mix they are.
F1b is a mating of a cockapoo with either a cocker or a poodle
F3 is a mating of 2 F2 cockapoos etc. etc.

Have a look on CCGB website, link on my signature to see how the different types of cockapoo can look.
