Just taken Buddy for his check up ,as many of you are aware he pulled both stitches out by day 6 or 7 and even with us changeing his cone for a bigger one has still some how been able to reach his bits.

Well what i thought was a shaving rash next to the scar isnt its a sore rash from licking and his scar looks quite red to,even though Buddy has been wearing his cone ever since the op day and night.

So we have now got to suffer another week with a 30" cone (which is so massive Bud can hardly walk!!!,god knows how he'll fit in his crate?).

So be warned ,dont let them lick !!

Donna, have you tried putting a baby vest on Buddy? Many people seem to find them really good

To be honest Ali i think the worst of it is over ,but will go ask my neighbour who has a baby and seeif she has an old one, but i think i would still have to put the cone on him he's that bad!.

Or maybe an old T-shirt worn backwards. Legs down the arm holes, tail out of the neck. Tie is round the waist with elastic or something. But I think you'll have to take it off for toilets.

Oh I had the same with Monty - Donna.

The vets didn't give us a cone initially and he was really good didn't lick or anything so we were probably too reassured as the little monkey must have been licking in the night and his went all red etc... The vet saw it and said he had a bit of an infection so ended up on antibiotics and a cone.

Give it a couple of days and hopefully he should be all healed up nicely....... little monkeys eh!!!

Spoke to Mick today and im going to get some suda cream for the rash ,the cone seems to be working so hopefully in a couple of days all will be well.

Felt so sorry for him i let him have an off lead walk for 15 mins ,boy oh boy was he loving it and im sure if he could talk he would say "you may take my balls ,but you'll never take my freedom!!!"
