Hi everyone
Glad Ive found a site where I can discuss issues concerning my sweet little darling Macey. She is just turned 5 months old and refuses to go to the toilet outside. She holds herself until she gets home then belts it to her puppy mat and relieves herself. We have tried the treats trick and even that doesnt work. Please help!!!!!!

Our other issue is getting her to socialize with other dogs. She had an experience over the park where she saw an older dog attack a small puppy in front of her which really frightened her and since then she has been afraid of going too close to dogs. We continue to take her to the park and try to encourage her to befriend them but she just shy away climbing up my leg hiding behind me.

Any help will be great!!!!!!!

is a ppuppy mat a puppy pee pad.
One option is moving it closer and closer to the door, then just outside the door, then onto the lawn and then not there at all..
other option. Ditch the puppy pad altogether and start from scratch with her, like youwould an 8 week old pup. and LOTS of praise when she does it outside....treats are good too.

Also teaching her to use poochie bells can be a help for some dogs.

has she had much socialization with other dogs?
Maybe join a smaller group of people with dogs that you can learn to get to know, and keep visiting the same dogs untill she is really comfortable.

You may find some poo owners on here to meet up with

Welcome to the group, we would love to see a picture of your girlie
